Solvina was invited to Mumbai to give a presentation to delegates from 38 factories in the Aditya Birla Group on the topic: ”Improved reliability for co-gen plants, by optimizing the dynamic performance”, on how Refineries, Pulp and Paper mills, Aluminum smelters and other heavy process industries, supplied by co-gen plants, can really benefit from a combination of advanced desktop dynamic simulations and live tests and tuning in order to increase the reliability of the steam and power generation. Presented by Peter Dahlström, Senior Advisor and Specialist in Dynamics & Control.
The Solvina team enjoys the winter sun and the “sisu” in the project at the site of TVO´s OL3. The new power plant will produce approximately 1600 MW of reliable and climate-friendly electricity. Solvina supports the OL3 project finalization and takeover preparations since 2013. The support consists of I&C Safety/Quality Assurance and Demonstration (SQAD), developing the overall Configuration Management (CM) and Design Authority function as well as Operational Readiness capabilities preparations and assessments. We are proud to take part in this challenging and important project with fantastic TVO, Finland to strengthen the Nordic power system with both dependable and environmentally adapted electricity production. Solvina continues with new steps to improve the power plant reliability of Vedanta Aluminium in Odisha, India. Testing and coordination of AVR and protection system logics shall further enhance the success rate for disturbance mitigation and island operation.
Solvina has been awarded a project in Indonesia to improve the power generation reliability by improving the dynamic performance of three hydro power units, and coordinating with a viable operating strategy.
Our Indian colleague Jaidev Oza has been visiting our Gothenburg office for some weeks. During his last day he tried to summarize some of the largest differences between Swedish and Indian culture, society and behavior. His presentation brought many laughs to our Swedish “fika” table, and pinpointed some really important issues to be aware of in our Swedish-Indian cooperation. Thank your Jaidev!
During the last two weeks Solvina has participated in the excellent program "Sweden India Innovations' Accelerator", organized by Swedish Energy Agency, Business Sweden and CII. Together with other Swedish companies offering different energy efficient solutions, Solvina has met and started fruitful cooperation with a number of Indian companies. Solvina offers integration and reliability improvement of mainly captive and cogeneration power plants in heavy industries, including renewable generation, resulting in substantially higher productivity and efficiency. Solvina is also a part of a showroom at Business Sweden Delhi, demonstrating the products and services of the participating companies, that was inaugurated on November 30th. We hope for a growing
