A Career with Solvina
Everyone at Solvina is a true innovator – driven by the belief that groundbreaking solutions are only developed once a problem has been identified. We apply our extensive competencies within science, together with our unique talents and experience, to first identify, and then consider challenges from multiple perspectives.
We challenge the conventional, and scrutinize standard practice. By doing so, we keep pushing forward the frontiers of the power and process industries.
We’re always looking for talented individuals who are as enthusiastic about identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions to them. If you have the spirit of an innovator, then you would be welcome to apply to become part of the Solvina team. Click on the relevant button to the right. If you can’t find a suitable vacant position you’re welcome to submit an open application.

Critical Clearing Time – Lab demo
One important aspect of ensuring power system operation and safety is obtaining Critical clearing time, which you will learn more about during one of the lab demonstrations exercises in the Power System Stability course held from 23rd – 27th August 2021. Below you see a practical demonstration from one of the several exercises on transient stability. When the fault persists for a duration more than the critical clearing time of a generator, it is no longer able to hold its synchronism with the grid. The video shows graphical visualization of generator load angle in reference to the grid and analogue visualizations of generator voltage and current’s oscillatory response. Sign-Up for the course to learn more about practical aspects from theories related to Power System Stability.
Fuel loading for Olkiluoto 3, March 2021
The Finnish nuclear power plant project Olkiluoto 3 passed the fuel loading milestone in March and now continues with the last phases of commissioning. Your “sisu” and great minds make this possible! We at Solvina are proud of contributing to this frontline project, e.g. within I&C safety demonstration and configuration management, and that our journey together now continues towards the approximately 1600 MW of reliable and climate-friendly electricity production.
Solvina participating in Smart Energy by Sweden workshop
On June 9th Solvina is presenting experiences from securing reliable power and grid stability in Zambia. The presentation is part of a workshop held on Teams and is concerning Zambia’s energy roadmap towards a sustainable future. It is hosted by Swedish embassy in Zambia, Lusaka, and initiated and held by Business Sweden in collaboration with Solvina, Swedfund, Swedish embassy, Metrum, and ABB.
